NEW LOGO | NOVA MEDICAL
Sometimes a client knows exactly what they want.

Medical branding typically leans towards blues, greens and softer colours, but Nova Medical wanted something different — using red, black and white to create a strong, modern and professional feel.

AI can create artwork. But that doesn’t make it good design.

Crammed information, unnecessary icons, tiny text, poor quality images and files that aren’t set up correctly for print can make your business look very unprofessional.

Okay... long post but I’ve gotta say it.
STOP USING CHATGPT TO CREATE YOUR BRANDING. JUST DON’T DO IT!

And I’m not saying this because AI is taking work away from me. Quite the opposite ... I’m getting more work than ever FIXING it.

My motto has always been: CHEAP NOW IS EXPENSIVE LATER.

Business owner: “Why pay a graphic designer? I can get AI to make my flyer. Type in the information and BAM... free flyer!”

Then the printed flyers arrive... and you wonder why they look like S**T.
• Colours aren't set up correctly for CMYK printing
• Photos print blurry or pixelated
• Text is so small nobody can read it
• Information and icons are crammed everywhere
• No proper bleed, trim or safe areas for printing

And even if you're NOT printing it, your branding is often someone's first impression of your business. We are seeing a real trend at the moment where people are not trusting a business that uses AI for design....and that will cost you sales.

Now here's the kicker.
This client actually PAID someone to design their original flyers. The price was ridiculously cheap and the “designer” (let's call them a button pusher) used AI to create the artwork.

So they paid for the cheap design. They paid to have it printed.
The flyers looked like s**t and the entire batch went in the bin.

Now they've paid AGAIN to have them professionally redesigned... and they'll pay AGAIN to have them professionally printed.

CHEAP NOW IS EXPENSIVE LATER. Every. Bloody. Time.

Below is my redesign. A6, double-sided, using the client's stunning photography. Clean, readable, professionally set up for quality printing and designed to represent the quality of their product.

If you're selling a premium product, your branding should look premium too.

New logo design for Bush to Beach Concreting.

This concept combines the letter B with two natural elements representing the business name — Bush to Beach.

A leaf has been incorporated into the upper section to represent the bush, while the curved wave in the lower section represents the beach. Together, they form a bold, recognisable B that’s simple, strong and suited to the concreting industry.

Business cards were also designed and have now been sent off to print.

Brochure and business card design completed for CMC Lawns & Maintenance. Once again, this is merely a mockup, as my finished designs go straight to professional print and are delivered directly to my clients.

We’re seeing more and more obviously AI-generated marketing material — overcrowded layouts, generic imagery, questionable text and designs that simply don’t look professional.

When your marketing looks unprofessional, people can question whether your business is professional too. Your brochure is often someone’s first impression of your business. Make it a good one.
