3 Easy Ways to Find Your Competitors’ Backlinks

🤫 Psst...want the inside track on what your competitors are doing with backlinks?

We know link building is an absolute must for SEO and rankings - and for boosting your reputation with Google.

Google gets heaps of info about your website from your backlinks, but remember, they’re concerned about quality not quantity.

Don’t reinvent the wheel if you need to bump up your backlinks. Piggyback on what your competitors have already done.

Here are my three easy ways to do this:

🔎 Google your competitors’ business names to see where they’re mentioned in the search results. There may be opportunities for you to list yours there too. And don’t stop at page one either.

🔎 Search for their MD or CEO by name to unearth niche websites. You’ll probably also find some that you missed on the first run because the business name is different.

🔎 Search using your competitors’ full URLs. You may pick up some extras here too.
Make sure you’re on a Google search page and not on your browser bar when you’re doing these searches!

Then compile a list of directories and relevant websites and get in touch if you think there may be opportunities to list your business on their website. It worked for me! When I researched my opposition in the SEO/digital marketing space, I got some great quality backlinks from many different sources including Facebook, Pure Local, b2Me, Super Uncle and Flying Solo.

If you have run your website through a tool such as GT Metrix and the results show that you need to ''optimise images" then use a WordPress plugin such as WP Smush. It automatically compresses images on upload and can also be used to compress and optimize your older image files. You can also set maximum image resolution, and your images will scale down to more reasonable sizes while being compressed.
