Your PC is Fake-Sleeping (The 7-Day Rule)
"Shutting down" your computer at night doesn't actually turn it off anymore.
Check your "Up Time" in Task Manager (Performance tab). If it’s over 7 days, do a Full Restart.
Modern Windows uses "Fast Startup," which saves the state of your messy RAM to the hard drive. A Restart is the only way to flush out the digital cobwebs and minor software glitches that slow you down.
Bottom Line: Before you call IT to complain that "everything is slow," try a 2-minute reboot. It works 80% of the time.
