I am glad to have had the opportunity to work under Visicomm who partnered with Lucent HD to deliver the new Jumbotron at RAC arena. It was a few weeks of long hours and hard work with a great team.

All future e-waste will now only be taken to Kim's E-Waste Recycling and (with prior agreement) to George who is a collector of antique items.
Mitchell has a Data destruction policy and can provide receipts for the destruction. I can still assist with the physical destruction on site before taking the items away. But any items I now take will be physically recycled and shipped off to be turned into future IT equipment.

With the other provider and the expansion of their NFP they now have safeguarding in place, and only authorised drop off points may collect on their behalf which is yet to be determined. So therefore I can no longer assist you in taking the items and dropping it off.
So far drop off points are their new premises im Gosnells that will open next week and Randford waste centre in Canning Vale. Join their page to see future updates.

I will no longer be supporting Facebook as of the end of July. I will from now on only publish content on my website. I cannot support a platform that is filled with pornographic content who refuses to take the content down. Meta Meta for Business Facebook has completely lost the plot and my respect. I file multiple reports everyday from all the various groups I belong to and Facebook lately refuses to take down content. They say it doesn't violate their "community standards". When you share a video of them saying it belongs on Facebook your profile gets limited.
So its time to let this platform go as they have to make their money somehow and they prefer it to be from Pornographic pages!

I don’t know if you’ve ever heard about the saying, “The mechanic’s car is always broken,” but it refers to how a mechanic would rather work on a client’s vehicle and make a few dollars than work on their own vehicle and make nothing. I think we all face this type of problem from time to time, especially in the IT world. I always tell my customers to make backups and use OneDrive for backing up important data!

Well, guess what?!?!?! I haven't practised what I preached in the last 3 months!!! Yes, I am bad! Well, it finally happened. My laptop died and so did a lot of data!
So its past midnight and I am staring at a data recovery screen!! The program really should not integrate with the windows timer. 5 hours remaining then 12 hours, then down to 4, back to 5, jump to 7, then more than a day, then back to 5 hours...
Anyway, hopefully I get my data back, but won't have a laptop for a few days, so can't do much remote support just yet. Will get a desktop up and running in the morning.

So if you need me, send an sms or whatsapp!

Are you still running Windows 7 or Windows 8??
Have you noticed your Edge browser stopped working?

You must upgrade to Windows 10 or 11 to continue to use Edge, but more importantly also be safe online!!!

I can come to you to upgrade your Operating system at your home or I can do it from the office. It takes a few hours and with Windows 10 you will get a few more years of support.

Windows 11 is particular with hardware requirements, so being on Windows 7 you may not have the correct hardware for it.

What an interesting last few weeks I had. The Fujitsu call outs started increasing and this week was a full week dedicated to it. From Australia post windows reinstall, a full Woolworths preventative maintenance clean, replacing hand held scanners, discount printers, doing Big W price verifiers and even some networking today where I had to patch the NBN connection at a Vodafone shop. Doing a variety of jobs all over Perth and beyond!!! I still make time for my personal customers but will be doing those jobs mostly in the evenings now! Great initiative if you are in the Gosnells area!

Today our first 2 bins of E-waste were picked up by Cyber Recycling.

Sam's Spares & Jacaranda House are happy to announce we are a drop off point for E-waste in the City Of Gosnells.

We will have bins available for locals to drop items off during opening hours:-

Jacaranda House
15 Queen St
Gosnells
Sat & Sun
9am -12pm

I will be able to sort through and keep items that can be repaired for my project and the rest Cyber Recycling will dispose of correctly.♻️

This also helps support a local COG Small Business.👍

Please share with anyone in the COG that may have E-waste to pass on.

Every item we can save from landfill is a massive bonus for the environment 🌏
