Not every server setup gets to live next to a professional baseball training facility.
This is a great example of bringing computing closer to where the action is happening.
The Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles needed a reliable way to run new player performance systems, but the only practical location was inside their indoor training facility. That meant dealing with dust, humidity and high summer temperatures that aren't ideal for traditional IT equipment.
Working with our partner IIJ, two Zella Pro micro data centres were deployed to provide secure, reliable infrastructure while keeping maintenance to a minimum through 24/7 remote monitoring.
Months later, the systems have simply become part of the environment, quietly supporting the team's technology without disrupting players or day-to-day operations.
