🔥Proud to mark the completion of a major national communications transformation project within the healthcare sector.
Over the past several months, the Ignite Telecom team has successfully delivered a large-scale UCaaS rollout across 80 sites and 650 users spanning WA, VIC, NSW, QLD, SA and TAS.
Like many growing healthcare groups, the customer had inherited multiple legacy on-premises communication platforms through acquisitions over time. While each system served a purpose historically, the long-term operational impact became increasingly difficult to manage:
• Multiple vendors and support paths
• Inconsistent user experiences across sites
• Rising maintenance and infrastructure costs
• Increased complexity for IT and operations teams
• Limited visibility and scalability
The objective wasn’t simply to replace a phone system.
It was to simplify operations and create a more connected communications environment that aligned with the organisation’s broader Care Communications & Records Ecosystem.
The result:
✔ Consolidated communications environment across 80 locations
✔ Streamlined support and operational management
✔ Improved user consistency and mobility across sites
✔ Reduced reliance on ageing on-premises infrastructure
✔ Enterprise-grade security, uptime and platform reliability
✔ Integrated communications workflows
Projects like this are a strong reminder that digital transformation in healthcare is rarely about one piece of technology.
It’s about reducing friction, simplifying complexity behind the scenes, and building platforms that can scale alongside the organisation.
Massive credit to everyone involved across delivery, engineering, operations, and the customer stakeholders who helped drive the project forward.
We’re looking forward to producing and sharing the video case study covering the transformation journey, challenges, and outcomes achieved across the organisation.
