What a way to spend a Saturday afternoon πŸ‘ŒπŸŽΆπŸ”Š
Have the weekend off, so a good time to do some reviews and some casual listening with my new AKG K702, Topping L30 II and Xduoo XQ50 Pro2 DAC.
Also have a Galaxy S21 on the way, thought it was time I upgraded my Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite, that I've had the past 4 or 5 years now.
Hopefully I can improve my video reviews with the Galaxy S21 a little bit.
Been listening to the Simgot Supermix 4, Tanchjim 4U, Letshuoer Galileo and Dita Project M this past few days, trying to get ready for my reviews of them before I send them off to David Haworth for his impressions and reviews.
Huge thank you to all the people who have been supporting my reviews and to all the companies, and people working behind the scenes getting these units out to us here in Australia, I always appreciate the opportunity πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊπŸ™πŸ˜Š

Was testing out my new to me AKG K702 today on the Dita Navigator dongle, and the Xduoo XP2 BAL.
Also had a quick comparison listen of the AKG K240 MKII, with the K702.
Very similar tonally, but the K702 just has a more expansive sound stage and more forward and open midrange.
Found them quite pleasing with warm mid centric music, like jazz, and warm vocals and instrumental tracks.
I feel like the K240 MKII is a little more versatile, having a slightly warmer signature and maybe I'd say slightly less analytical.
They both are quite enjoyable.
The K702 are super comfortable too.

New QOA Adonis just arrived today, thanks to Kinera Thomas, from Kinera for sending them in for review.
They will be on tour in Australia for the next few weeks, along with David Haworth, Osman Hashem, and myself.
Quick first impression.
They have a very nice a full bass, with a rumbling sub bass, very clear mids and treble, edging on analytical, with a good amount of warm from the sub bass.
The sound stage is quite expansive and has good depth πŸ‘ŒπŸ’œπŸŽΆπŸ”Š
I'll be reviewing the new QOA Adonis in the coming weeks.
I also have reviews coming for the TANCHJIM 4U and Celest Wyvern Abyss, Letshuoer Audio S08 and Dita Project M and Dita Navigator DAC dongle, and the Simgot Supermix 4.

Little comparison I did today.
The new TRN ST7 (2DD + 5BA) Vs CCA Hydro (2DD + 8BA, with tuning switches).
Both surprisingly well tuned, and with very similar configurations.
The CCA Hydro, I found to be just a little warmer.
With all the tuning switches activated on the Hydro, the Hydro and ST7 sound nearly identical.
Although the Hydro still has just a slight more hint of warmth, and is still just a little bit smoother than the ST7, with all the switches activated on the Hydro.
The ST7 I felt had just a tiny bit more micro detail resolution than the Hydro, but by a very, very small margin.
When the Hydro is in 1110 mode or 1100 mode, it's definitely a little smoother and warmer than ST7.
The build quality of the Hydro is a little nicer, with a more solid feeling build, but for roughly $30 the ST7 is very well put together, considering the number of drivers it has.
I think if I had to rate both the ST7 and Hydro.
I would rate the Hydro better for the build and the tuning, and the ST7 I'd rate better for the value for money and the slight edge I felt it had in the micro details, which was very small, but I did notice just a little more micro details in some tracks.
I think the ST7 is a pretty worthy competition for the CCA Hydro, and at less than half the price, it's even better value for money in some aspects.
I'd still highly rate both of them for what they offer πŸ‘Œ

Some new arrivals from HiFiGo today, thanks to Alice Xie for arranging the Tanchjim 4U and the Kinera Celest Wyvern Abyss for review.
Some quick first impressions.
The Tanchjim 4U -
Warm, with an emphasis on the lower mids and vocals.
The mids and vocals are very smooth and velvety.
Very pleasant, with a soft treble that compliments the warm mids and vocals nicely.

The Celest Wyvern Abyss
This sees more of an emphasis in the upper mids and lower treble ranges, with a little brighter vocal presentation and energy.

Full reviews of the Tanchjim 4u and Celest Wyvern Abyss coming soon πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘Œ
