An opportunity exists for a Casual labourer position in our Newcastle Based Fibre Optic Company. We install Fibre optic cable in commercial buildings and in outdoor street works.

You will be required to assist a qualified Cable installer, installing fibre optic cable in commercial buildings and outdoor street work as well as assisting a cable splicer. This position will involve manual labour.

Requirements:
- Have an enthusiastic attitude and be willing to learn and work with attention to detail.

- Ability to work in a team environment and independently

- Good communication skills, oral and written.

- Have an O.H&S Certificate (white card).

Be able to travel throughout the Sydney Metropolitan area and NSW Country on occasion when required. You will be given a work vehicle or/be driven to the job site in a work vehicle.
Must have own transport to get to our Newcastle Base.
Must have Full drivers licence or be near the end of your Green Provisional licence.
A desire to have a career within the communications industry, specialising in fibre optics is a must as you will have the opportunity to receive appropriate training in cable. hauling and fibre optics.
You must have an enthusiastic attitude and be willing to work with attention to detail.

- First aid certificate desirable (but not essential)

Although initially casual, the role could become permanent for the right person. This a great opportunity to gain entry into the Communications Industry and work in a small, friendly team.
