☀️ Summer preparation starts before summer.
With warmer weather approaching, now is a good time to check how your outdoor facilities are shaping up for the months ahead.

A few things worth looking at now:
🌱 Turf – Are there worn, thin or stressed areas that need attention before hotter weather arrives?

💧 Irrigation – Is coverage even? Are sprinklers, controllers and irrigation systems operating as they should?

🎾 Courts and sports surfaces – Are there areas that need cleaning, repairs or other maintenance?

🏃 High-use areas – Are there signs of wear that will only get worse as summer activity increases?

Taking care of smaller issues now can help keep facilities looking good, performing well and ready for a busy summer season.

📣 Last chance for SA sporting clubs to apply for funding!

Applications for Round 56 of the Active Club Program close midday Wednesday, 14 October 2026.

With more than $1.4 million available, eligible sport and active recreation clubs across South Australia can apply for grants of $1,500 or $3,000.

Funding can support initiatives including playing venue maintenance equipment, energy and water efficiency initiatives and minor club infrastructure upgrades.

It’s great to see continued investment in the clubs and volunteers that keep community sport going across SA.

If your club could benefit, there's still time to check the eligibility requirements and submit an application.

Not every tired-looking court needs a major overhaul. Sometimes, a thorough clean can make a big difference.

The acrylic courts at Verdun Tennis Club in the Adelaide Hills had built up dirt and staining over time, so our team gave them a clean and pressure wash.

The photos show just how much targeted maintenance can refresh a court.

A great result for Verdun Tennis Club, and most importantly, a very happy client.

As finals season wraps up, there’s plenty to celebrate across our local sporting communities. 🏆

For players, coaches, volunteers, families and supporters, finals season reflects months of training, early starts, weekend games and plenty of work behind the scenes.

Congratulations to all the teams who competed in finals, and to everyone who helps make community sport happen each week.

A special shoutout to Mount Barker Football Club, who had three junior teams competing in grand finals over the weekend, with the Under 16s taking home the premiership. 👏

Five playgrounds. One goal: creating safe, durable spaces for the community to enjoy.

We recently completed the renewal of wet pour rubber safety surfacing across five playgrounds for the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters.

Our team removed the existing aged surfacing and installed new compliant wet pour rubber, helping to revitalise each playground and ensure the surfaces continue to meet the required safety standards.

Projects like these play an important role in extending the life of community assets while providing safe, accessible and enjoyable spaces for families and the wider community.
