What makes this award so special is that it’s based on the experiences of real couples.

To every couple who trusted me with such an important part of your wedding day, thank you. From our first conversation to the moment your stationery is in your hands, it’s always been my goal to make the process feel exciting, personal and as stress-free as possible.

Every invitation suite, place card, welcome sign and little detail tells a story, and I feel incredibly lucky that I get to be a small part of so many beautiful wedding days.

Exciting news!

I’m so excited to share that By Elle Creative has been named a Finalist in the 2026 Central West NSW Wedding Industry Awards in the Wedding Stationery category 🤍

It means so much to be recognised by the couples I’ve had the privilege of working with. Thank you to everyone who has trusted me to be a small part of such an important day.

I’m looking forward to celebrating with the other finalists later this month and can’t wait to see the results! ✨

I’ve started a petition to help improve accessibility and safety at Mudgee’s Town Hall Arcade public toilets.

This issue is deeply personal to me.

As a wheelchair user, I recently found myself unable to open the toilet door independently and had to call my mum to come into town just so I could access the facility. No one should have to lose their independence simply to use a public toilet.

Since then, I’ve spoken with people with disabilities, older residents, parents with prams, carers, local business owners and visitors to Mudgee. Many have shared concerns about the condition, maintenance, safety and usability of the Town Hall Arcade public toilets.

I’m encouraged that Council has advised a refurbishment, including a new accessible toilet, is planned. This petition isn’t about assigning blame. It’s about showing that our community supports this investment and wants to help ensure the finished facilities are safe, welcoming, practical and genuinely accessible for everyone.

Accessible public toilets benefit all of us. They support people with disabilities, older Australians, parents with prams, carers, people recovering from injury, visitors and anyone who may need a little extra accessibility.

If you believe Mudgee deserves public amenities that reflect the inclusive community we strive to be, I’d be incredibly grateful if you could sign the petition and share it with your family, friends and networks.

Hi, I’m Elle 👋🏼

If you’re new here, I thought I’d properly introduce myself.

I’m the owner of By Elle Creative, a graphic designer, wedding stationery designer, accessibility advocate, and public speaker based in regional NSW.

Like many business owners, my path here wasn’t exactly straightforward.

I always knew I was creative, but after leaving a traditional 9-5 role due to my disability, I found myself searching for a different way forward. What started as a creative outlet eventually grew into a business that now allows me to work with clients across Australia.

I help:

Small business owners create branding that helps them stand out and build brand awareness.

Engaged couples create wedding stationery that feels beautiful, personal, and takes some of the stress out of wedding planning.

Alongside my design work, I’m also passionate about accessibility and inclusion. As someone with lived experience of disability, I regularly speak about accessibility in regional communities, inclusive tourism, community participation, and the importance of designing spaces, services, and experiences that work for everyone.

Earlier this year, I was incredibly honoured to receive the Young Citizen of the Year Award, recognition that has encouraged me to continue advocating for positive change while growing a business I love.

When I’m not designing or speaking, you’ll usually find me spending time with my dog Edie, working on new ideas, getting lost down a Pinterest rabbit hole, or planning my next project.

On Friday night, I had the privilege of speaking at Generation Women Bathurst and what a special night it was 🤍

The theme was Matriarchs, Mentors and Aunties, and I shared the story of a woman who has had a profound impact on my life, along with the incredible older women I’ve met through volunteering in my community.

A huge thank you to the Generation Women Australia team, especially Laneikka, Lauren, Donna, Shane and Julie. From the very beginning, you made the entire experience feel welcoming, supportive and enjoyable. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and your kindness and encouragement made stepping onto that stage feel a whole lot easier.

Thank you also to KeyStone1889 for creating such a beautiful setting for the evening and for ensuring the venue was accessible. Having a space where I could access the stage and participate fully meant a lot, and it’s something that shouldn’t be taken for granted.

A special thank you as well to Summer Land , who did a wonderful job as MC for the evening. She brought so much warmth, humour and energy to the event, and made every speaker feel welcomed and supported as we stepped onto the stage.

One of my favourite parts of the evening was hearing the stories from the other speakers. Listening to them share stories about the mentors, matriarchs and aunties who have shaped their lives was inspiring, moving and often very funny.

And as a bonus, I’ve walked away with some wonderful new friendships too.

I’m feeling incredibly grateful today. Thank you to everyone who attended, listened, laughed at the right moments, and helped make it such a memorable night. ✨

A little update from me…

The next week is looking a little different than usual.

On Friday night, I’ll be speaking at the Generation Women event in Bathurst, sharing my story alongside an incredible group of women from our region.

Then next Wednesday, I’ll be travelling to Canberra to speak on a parliamentary panel about the unintended consequences of overriding clinical recommendations under the NDIS.

As someone living with disability, being invited to contribute to these conversations isn’t something I take lightly.

A lot of my work revolves around wedding stationery, branding and creativity, but advocacy has always been an important part of my life too.

Being able to share both my lived experience and my perspective as a business owner is something I’m incredibly grateful for.

It’s also a little surreal!

A few years ago, I was focused on simply getting through each day.

Now I’m preparing to speak at two events in two weeks.

Life is funny like that.

What happens when you combine three design elements from completely different worlds?

That’s the idea behind a new design experiment series I’m starting.

For each challenge, I select three elements I wouldn’t typically pair and transform them into a cohesive wedding invitation suite.

For the first challenge, I chose:

An earthy colour palette.

An elegant font.

A garden party theme.

At first glance, they don’t seem like an obvious match.

Which is exactly what made it fun.

I wanted to see if I could bring them together in a way that still felt cohesive and wedding-worthy.

For this suite, I combined elegant typography, earthy tones and subtle garden-inspired details to create something that feels romantic, refined and a little unexpected.

I honestly wasn’t sure where this one was heading when I started, but I love how it turned out.
