We had a customer reach out for some new 6BM8 bottles for his classic Sansui.

These pristine, New Old Stock Japanese Toshiba Valves will be a perfect match.

Tested on the ėTracer, check out the close results. IP matched quad and IP matched pair.

The results are second to none, with this device.

Here's a pair of Mullard EL34 XF4 we came across during some sorting.
They are obviously used, though worth testing as they are a valuable type.
Testing on the Amplitrex B+ 500, VG2 450, VG1 - 38.5. Some serious voltages there.

The first bottle failed - Shorted. The getter is poor indicating this valve has had many hours of use.

Second bottle conducts well, though manifested a red plate. Unfortunately a gassy tube. While we were testing, why not try a lower voltage to see if the the red plate persists? This time we selected B+ 250, VG2 265, VG2 - 13.5. As you can see in the images, the red plate is still present although not as bright as the previous test.

Conclusion: These valves have failed vigorous testing and will be discarded.
