Important Notice: Upcoming Break

After several years of continuous work without a proper holiday, I’ve made the decision to take a much-needed break due to chronic ongoing burnout. I will be unavailable from Monday, October 6th through to Monday, October 20th.

If you require assistance before or during this time, I strongly recommend booking as soon as possible.
Please note: Any jobs requiring physical goods to be ordered must commence before October 1st to avoid delays until after my return.

During this break, phone calls will be diverted to voicemail, and I will not be responding to texts or emails until I’m back on October 20th.

Dear valued customers,

This message comes from a place of care and principle. Starting July 2025, I will no longer be accepting card payments—this decision wasn’t made lightly, and I want to be open with you about why.

Recently, I was deeply concerned by actions taken by Visa and Mastercard. They have chosen to pressure certain legal online platforms, threatening to withdraw their services over disagreements about what should or shouldn’t be sold. To me, this is more than business politics—it’s about the freedom we all have to make our own choices. Supporting companies that wield this much unchecked power just doesn’t sit right with me. I believe in standing up for what’s right, even in small ways, and I hope my decision will encourage others to reflect on what this could mean for all of us moving forward.

On top of that, those ever-increasing card surcharges have become impossible to ignore. I hate the idea of passing those costs onto you. You work hard for your money, and I want you to be able to spend it without being penalized.

From now on, I’ll be accepting payments by bank transfer and good old-fashioned cash. I truly hope you understand where I’m coming from, and I want to thank you—sincerely—for your continued support and trust.

Effective July 1st, Ben's IT Services will no longer accept card payments in order to manage rising processing fees and avoid passing additional costs onto my valued customers. I will now only accept cash and bank transfers. Additionally, I will be switching to a new bank, so please note that our bank account details will change accordingly. These adjustments are part of my efforts to adapt to ongoing economic changes while maintaining the quality of my service. Thank you for your understanding and continued support. 😀

Exciting Times Ahead: My First Day Running Business from Home!

I'm thrilled to share that today marked my first day operating my business from home and on the go, after making the decision to close down my physical shop. I'm already feeling the positive impact of this change, and I'm excited to share the benefits with you!

As I ventured out to visit valued customers and deliver services, I was struck by the flexibility and freedom that comes with no longer being obliged to open a physical shop. A Change of Scenery for Ben's IT Services

It’s with a heavy heart that I share some news today. After a whirlwind year and a half, the time has come for me to close the doors of the physical shop for Ben’s IT Services, effective April 30th. This wasn’t a decision reached lightly, believe me. There have been many sleepless nights and tough conversations with myself before arriving at this point.

Running Ben’s IT Services has been an incredible journey so far. I’ve poured my heart and soul into providing the excellent, reliable, and honest tech support that I truly believe in. It’s always been my priority to offer solutions that are genuinely needed, not to push unnecessary products or services. Honesty and integrity are the cornerstones of my business, and I refuse to compromise on those values.

However, the reality of running a physical shop has brought its own set of challenges. The financial strain of overheads, coupled with some recent health concerns, has made it increasingly difficult to sustain the shop while maintaining the quality of service and ethical approach I’m committed to. To continue down the current path would mean compromising my ethics to stay afloat, and that’s simply not something I’m willing to do.

But this isn't goodbye, not by a long shot. This is a change of scenery, a refocusing. I'm excited to announce that Ben’s IT Services will continue to operate, just in a more mobile and adaptable way. I'll be bringing my services directly to you, operating from home and on the go. This means I can come to you for all your tech needs – service, sales, and support.

This shift actually has some fantastic upsides for you too! By reducing overheads, I’ll be able to adjust my pricing, making my services even more affordable while maintaining the same high standard you’ve come to expect. You’ll still get the same dedicated, honest tech support, just with a little less stress on my end – and potentially a better price for you!

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for your incredible support over the past year and a half. It truly has been an exciting and rewarding journey. Taking a Moment to Mend and Recharge!

Life, as we all know, can throw curveballs when we least expect them. Recently, I’ve been navigating a particularly challenging season in my own life, and I wanted to take a moment to share what’s been happening and how it might affect things here for a little while.

Over the past six months, I’ve been feeling increasingly unwell, and after some time and investigation, I’ve been diagnosed with grade 3 muscle tears and chronic fatigue syndrome. It’s been quite a lot to process, and honestly, it's turned my world upside down in many ways. Simple everyday tasks have become much harder, my energy levels have plummeted, and restful sleep has become a distant memory.

This, understandably, has had a knock-on effect on my ability to provide the service I’m so passionate about. I pride myself on being there for you, especially when technology decides to play up, but lately, I haven’t been operating at my usual pace. I’ve felt the frustration myself, knowing I haven’t been as quick or efficient as I always aim to be, and believe me, it hasn't been easy.

To prioritize my health and recovery, and to ensure I can continue to support you in the long run, I’ll be working somewhat reduced hours over the next few months. Additionally, I will be taking a much-needed week off, from April 14th to the 21st. This break is crucial for me to rest and begin to properly focus on my recovery from this fatigue.

During these next few months of healing, I would be incredibly grateful for your patience and understanding. I know technology can be frustrating at the best of times, and waiting for assistance can add to that stress. Please know that even with these challenges, I am still deeply committed to being here for you and will endeavour to be available as much as my health allows.

I also want to take this opportunity to sincerely thank you. Your support, understanding, and kindness has meant the world to me, especially during this difficult period. It's what keeps me going. My biggest hope is to make a full recovery, to regain my strength and energy, and get back to doing what I truly love – helping you navigate the sometimes-tricky world of technology.

I would like to empathise that I will still be open and operating just at a reduced capacity.

Thank you again for everything. Your patience and well wishes are truly appreciated.
