Kastel Technologies is looking for potentially qualified individuals to add to our expanding team of network and system engineers. Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, the ideal candidate must: -
• Work with help desk as an escalation resource to solve customers and internal company personnel tickets.
• Implementing and configuring new core/aggregation/access switches, routers and firewalls.
• Ability to interpret customer requirements and translate those requirements into a functioning and manageable network design.
• Develop knowledge of various networking vendor capabilities and limitations.
• Develop and maintain documentation and training material on new and existing network designs.
• Assist help desk support with questions related to ongoing support and change requests of network designs.
• Continuing education to maintain networking expertise and knowledge of current and emerging networking technologies.
• Participate in an after-hours and holiday on-call rotation with other network engineers.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks independently.
• Managing and configuring LANs, WANs, WLANs, and VPN.
• Preferred Vendor Experience: Microsoft, Cisco, Meraki etc
Education / Experience Required
• Minimum Education Level: Tertiary Degree or equivalent experience
• Preferred Certifications: Microsoft Certification / CCNA
• Minimum 4 years’ experience
