A policy is not evidence.

A policy describes what you intend to do. Evidence proves you actually did it, and that's the part auditors assess.

Before your next audit, ask a harder question of each policy: "where's the proof this happened, and could I put my hand on it right now?" That question, asked honestly, is most of the work.

A quick gut-check for any NDIS provider before your next audit.

Pick one of your policies and try to find the evidence that proves you actually follow it: rosters, sign-offs, training records, whatever applies.

If you can put your hand on it in under a minute, you're in good shape. If not, that's job one before audit season. What's the policy you'd struggle to evidence fastest?
