Introducing the new identity for Zesty, a Melbourne-based planning consultancy helping people navigate the planning process with greater clarity and confidence.

Hugh came to us at a point where Zesty was ready to establish a stronger visual identity and create a clearer foundation for future growth. The brand needed to feel approachable to everyday people while retaining the professionalism expected of a planning consultancy.

We began with a collaborative workshop, working through the brand strategy and exploring a range of visual directions. From there, we moved into the creative process and developed an identity that reflects both the personality of Zesty and the environments it works within.

The result is a bold, approachable wordmark supported by a flexible brand device inspired by streetscapes and the broader built environment. The colour palette builds on Zesty’s existing orange, reflecting the warmth and accessibility of the business, alongside green and blue tones drawn from land, planning and place.

We then brought the identity to life across a series of brand applications, creating a flexible system that can grow alongside the business.

Best Seat began with the idea of reimagining the traditional photobooth as a more considered part of the event experience. Inspired by vintage-style booths for their character and nostalgia, developed for weddings, brand activations and curated celebrations.

Following the identity reveal, we’re taking a closer look at the brand guidelines developed to shape how Best Seat comes to life. The document brings together every element of the brand, creating a clear visual system as it grows.

We also translated the identity into social media, combining layered imagery, expressive typography  that feel nostalgic, romantic and distinctly Best Seat.

From the brand guide to its first digital applications, each element was designed to keep the identity consistent while giving it room to move across different formats.

A few of our favourite shots from a recent drone session in Williamstown.

We were out capturing B-roll for a client and couldn’t have asked for better conditions. Glassy water on a beautiful winter’s day, with a town full of character just a short drive from Melbourne’s CBD.

We love using the drone as a tool to capture different perspectives and add another layer of storytelling.

A closer look at our website.

Designed as an extension of the studio, it brings together our work and offers a broader look at what we do.

We’re continuing to build on it with dedicated project pages and expanded service content. We’re also developing Asterisk*, our journal, alongside an online store.

There’s plenty more to come.
