🎓 CyberCX has teamed up with Monash University to launch a new Bachelor of CyberAI degree to help tackle Australia's shortage of cybersecurity experts, as state-backed hackers and criminal gangs harness artificial intelligence to accelerate their attacks.

The degree delivered jointly with Monash University’s Faculty of Information Technology, will spend the first year developing foundational capabilities in secure systems, cyber security operations and AI-enabled technologies. Throughout the course there will be emphasis on responsible and secure AI practice, including ethics, privacy, governance and risk management.

CyberCX will also create a pathway for Monash CyberAI students into the CyberCX Academy, one of the most sought-after entry points into the Australian cyber security industry, with up to 15 positions available each year subject to suitability and workforce needs.

🤖 AI is redefining cyber security. It's enabling faster, smarter, and more sophisticated cyber threats, but also more powerful ways to defend our digital world.

The first of its kind Bachelor of Cyber AI (Industry Co-Lab), co-designed and delivered by CyberCX and Monash University, will build foundations in AI and cyber security and embed students in strategic partner organisations where they will engage in real projects, simulation activities, and scenario-based learning.

Students will learn from leading CyberCX experts who will share first-hand insights into how AI is impacting cyber security with guest lecturers, masterclasses, and the creation of an online Secure AI Lab learning environment for students to gain a practical, hands-on cyber AI experience as part of the degree.

Australia's resilient and AI-ready future depends on leaders who can harness AI and cyber security - experts who can secure our intelligent technologies, safeguard the data that powers our digital economy, and protect our services, infrastructure, and communities.

Today, we made history for women in cyber.

As part of our Cyber5050 initiative, we launched our original research, Decoding Cyber Security: Meeting national workforce needs and improving gender equity, in partnership with the Australian Women in Security Network at the AISA Cyber Connect conference.

Joined by Minister Andrew Giles, CyberCX CEO John Paitaridis, AWSN’s Jacqui Loustau and FW's Erin Harriott, we didn’t just launch a report. We challenged an industry.

The findings are clear: women in cyber face barriers at every stage of employment. We now have the data to prove it – and we’re calling on the industry to turn these insights into action.

The report is now live here:
