In 2017 Pantone partnered with the Prince estate to celebrate the international icon, and create "Love Symbol #2". This distinctive blue based purple hue was inspired by Prince’s custom-made Yamaha purple piano which was intended to be the centerpiece of his tour before his untimely passing.

Prince died in 2016, and Pantone paid tribute by developing a special purple color for the individual known worldwide as “The Purple One” .

My love of purple and my enduring business colour was inspired by Purple Rain and this great musician.

I am still looking for the 'purple banana' though...!
