Today is day - an important day to remind us all that a conversation could change a life.

Have you checked in with one of your friends, family or colleagues today? This year’s R U OK campaign is about more than just a simple “are you ok?”, but “are you really ok?

It has been a tough year for everyone and even if someone may be putting on a strong front, under the hood they could be struggling. Ask them today if they are really ok - it could help a lot and at the very least show them that you care.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Frontend Engineer for our client - one of Australia’s fastest growing FinTechs in the digital currency industry - to join their team in building world class consumer-friendly products.

You’ll join a team of friendly software engineers in a relaxed and dynamic environment with a startup-type feel (i.e. you'll have lots of flexibility and freedom to experiment/innovate and won't be bogged down by excessive processes). You will be helping them to deliver some very exciting initiatives and products in the pipeline as they look to scale the team and platform over the next couple of years as they bid to become the market leader in Australia.

The product is built on a modern (and evolving) frontend tech stack: Javascript, React, React Native, GraphQL/Relay.

Responsibilities:
You will be developing new frontend features on both new and existing products as well as helping to maintain and enhance existing applications.
As part of that, you will:
- be designing and developing with system performance, security and usability in mind.
- be working with other engineers, the product manager and the management team to help deliver the product vision and roadmap.
- participate in an Agile/dynamic/collaborative development process and includes performing code/peer reviews and taking part in hackathon/dev days.

We are looking for someone who:
- has 5+ years experience in software engineering
- is confident and proficient with Javascript and React (React Native would be a plus)
- takes pride and puts emphasis on writing high quality, clean, easy-to-read and well-structured code.
- has good frontend design sense and a good understanding of UI/UX and general architecture best practices.
- can quickly weigh up technical trade-offs and make good/informed technical decisions.
- can convey complex technical concepts in a simple and concise way.
- is demonstrably passionate about technology (e.g. will research and read up on technology-related topics during their time outside of work).
