New blog post: Piecemeal Games. Could we sell game modes separately to give players more choice and control over their purchases?

http://www.gamersheart.com/?p=154

Anyone who’s had the misfortune of speaking to me this year is probably well aware that I am crazy excited about the upcoming Max Payne 3. The first 2 games are some of my favourite titles of all time. I play through them at least once a year.

Progress update posted to blog:
http://www.gamersheart.com/2012/04/28/progress-report/

We're still here. Things have been on hold for a few months, but we're gearing back up again. This game will happen :-D

On a personal level this year has been a bit crazy. It’s been a bit of a roller coaster and very draining. As a result there really hasn’t been any work done on the game since January. You can be probably assume it’s not coming out in Feb/March any more…

New programming blog post, "Your Code Shouldn't Break Mine"
http://t.co/ovr7llq7

Be a boy scout coder. Leave the environment as you found it.

I’ve been considering my ”philosophy” of coding recently. I’m thinking of a coding philosophy as a more hand-wavy type of style guide. A list of recommendations that aren’t hard and fast rules, but ideals that help structure your code.

Great way to make a statement about your favourite musical artists AND anti-slavery!

Join Not For Sale's campaign to end modern-day slavery through the artists you love. Every month, we will partner with a new band to sell a limited-edition T-shirt. For one week, we will sell our unique tees that not only fund abolitionists around the...

Hey, friends! You may have noticed that we've gone a little quiet. We're still working hard behind the scenes, and things are progressing well.

We don't have much to show at the moment, largely because there's no art to show off. All you see is a bunch of different coloured squares moving around the screen. Those squares are exciting to us, though!

We're very excited about this new year, and look forward to sharing our work with you soon!

Blooooog: "Good Enough Really Is Good Enough".

Sometimes, particularly when you're managing your own schedule, you have to know when to stop. Falling short of absolute perfection is not a failure.

One of the hardest things I’ve had to learn since I’ve started really focusing on finishing a game is that, at some point, I have to just let it go.

The story of my second press-related blunder. It should be pretty clear by now that I shouldn't ever be allowed to talk to reporters.

While working at BlueTongue I helped out running the THQ stand at the Armageddon Expo a couple of years in a row. It’s a lot of fun. You get free entry, nerd cred, and the opportunity to show people through your game.

New blog post about my first ever run in with the press
http://www.gamersheart.com/2011/11/29/me-vs-the-press/

One of the fun (and slightly terrifying) aspects of being a tiny indie studio is that you do everything yourself. Including handling marketing and press.
