After supporting 40+ business owners in getting more enquiries from their websites, here’s what I’ve noticed 👀

👀 “I don’t have the time”
really means “a website feels like a huge project and I don’t know where to start”

👀 “I can’t afford to invest in a website right now”
often means “I’m not sure it’ll pay for itself, and nobody’s shown me how it brings money back in”

👀 And “I’ve tried everything, I’m a lost cause”
translates into “I’ve tried a few things in the wrong order and never had a clear plan”

I’m not the kind of web designer who’ll cold DM you and pressure you into a pipe dream. I say no to people all the time, and if I know someone else is the best route to a website that works for you, I’ll happily point you to them 💖

I’m a web designer, so I have OPINIONS 🫠

Here’s my WordPress snog, marry, avoid:

💋 Elementor: clients can edit their own pages, just don’t go overboard with add-ons
💍 SiteGround: reliable hosting with daily backups, so you’re not panicking when something breaks
🚫 Slider Revolution: looks great in the demo, but those heavy sliders slow your homepage down and nobody clicks past slide one

After almost 5 years and 40+ website clients, I’ve seen what website advice works and what really doesn’t 💅🏼

I’ve never had to face myself the way I have while running my web design business AND staying on top of my own website 😅

Don’t get me wrong, I love what I do 💖

But I’m still human, here’s a few things I “should” have down by now that still ✨ humble ✨ me on a pretty regular basis.

👀 My own homepage copy, still sitting in “draft” since March
👀 Actually taking a proper lunch break instead of eating at my desk mid-web page edit
👀 Actually finishing the case studies I keep telling clients I’ll add

Here’s what I will say though, even though running this business is hard, I’ve clocked in some pretty epic wins recently;
✨ Fully booked out my website design slots for the next month
✨ Had a client message me saying their bookings doubled since launch
✨ Finally nailed down a process that doesn’t leave me redoing homepages three times

And I’m not alone, one of my clients just doubled their enquiries since redesigning their website 🥹

I’ve got 2 spaces left to work with me inside my website design package for the rest of 2026 💫
