Most fatigue monitoring technologies focus on what they can see. FleetPREDICT looks beyond visible signs.

Using Garmin-compatible wearables and science-based algorithms developed by SAT - Sleep Advice Technologies, FleetPREDICT analyses each driver’s biometric data to establish an individual baseline and continuously assess changes associated with fatigue. It enables earlier warnings as fatigue begins to develop.

This approach is now being evaluated in real-world operations through the FleetPREDICT National Trial, funded through the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator’s Heavy Vehicle Safety Initiative and supported by the Australian Government.

The resulting insights are delivered quietly in the background, allowing FleetPREDICT to fit naturally into everyday operations without adding unnecessary distraction or complexity.

Personalised insight.
Earlier warning.
Safer decisions on the road.

𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗛𝗚 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗧𝗔𝗟𝗞 𝗣𝗼𝗱𝗰𝗮𝘀𝘁 🎙️
Announced at TechDRIVE Connect Brisbane, WHG TechTALK is our new podcast series created to keep the industry conversation moving beyond the event room.
Real technology. Real conversations.
We’ll be speaking with operators, regulators, technology leaders and industry experts about the issues shaping transport today and what’s coming next.

𝗘𝗽𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝟭 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 - featuring Transport Certification Australia , National Heavy Vehicle Regulator and our very own WHG!

In this first episode, three leaders bring three different perspectives to the table: the regulator, the certifier, and the technology provider. We unpack the upcoming Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) reforms, why Safety Management Systems are shifting the industry from box-ticking to active risk management, and how TCA-certified technology like WHG's helps operators invest with confidence.

We also dig into the data most fleets are already collecting but not using to its full potential - from fatigue events and route planning to on-board mass, EWDs and IoT - and how joining these systems together drives safer, smarter, more connected fleets.
Featuring:
🔹 Matt Bolan - Manager, Fatigue & Human Factors, National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR)
🔹 Gavin Hill - General Manager, Strategic Engagement & Performance, Austroads (Transport Certification Australia / TCA)
🔹 Dylan Hartley - Chief Executive Officer, WHG Technologies

Yesterday's TechDRIVE Connect featured a keynote conversation on Leading Transport Strategies: The Road to 2030.
𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹:
Romesh Rodrigo, Daimler Truck Australia Pacific
Cameron Dunn, Managing Director, FBT Transwest
Paul Daly, National Heavy Vehicle Regulator
Dylan Hartley, CEO, WHG - Technologies
Susan Harris, CEO, ITS Australia

𝗔 𝗳𝗲𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝘁:
The road to 2030 will require stronger collaboration between operators, regulators, manufacturers and technology providers.
AI, connected transport and autonomous vehicles are moving from future concepts into practical industry conversations.
Investment decisions will increasingly need to balance safety, productivity, sustainability and workforce capability together.

Regulation and innovation need to move in step, with industry feedback playing a critical role.
Leadership will be just as important as technology in determining how successfully the industry adapts.
A timely discussion on where Australian transport is heading, and the decisions that need to be made now.

There was plenty of speculation about what 2030 will look like for heavy transport, and even more discussion around how fleets can prepare for it now.

The conversation went well beyond fuel choice. It opened up a broader discussion around infrastructure, investment, depot readiness, route planning, charging access, hydrogen, renewable diesel, electric vehicles and the operational realities of applying alternative energy solutions across different fleet types.

What became clear is that there will not be one single pathway forward. Every fleet will need to consider what works for its routes, assets, customers, infrastructure, commercial pressures and compliance requirements.

There were plenty of guesstimates, predictions and big-picture ideas in the room, but the most valuable takeaway was practical: the transition beyond diesel will need collaboration between fleets, energy providers, OEMs, infrastructure partners, regulators and technology providers.

Thank you to Sandra Lau from Viva Energy Australia and Tim Camilleri from Volvo Trucks Australia for sharing your insights and sparking speculation.

A strong panel conversation yestoday at TechDRIVE Connect on what Safety Beyond Compliance really looks like in practice.
Especially with the reforms to NHVL, the converstaion was very topical and it was great to hear a well rounded discussion.
Thank you to our panel:
Dylan Hartley, CEO, WHG - Technologies
Jason Razumic,, Polymer Connect
Paul Daly, National Heavy Vehicle Regulator
Gavin Hill, Transport Certification Australia
Pieter Smuts, WHG Technologies
And to Harry Gasiamis, Garmin , who shared his perspective with us by video.

𝗔 𝗳𝗲𝘄 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝘁:
- Safer operations start with identifying risk earlier, not simply responding after an incident.
- Technology and data can support better decisions, but trust, transparency and driver confidence are critical.
- Strong Safety Management Systems need to influence real operational decisions, not just exist on paper.
- Fatigue, wellbeing, commercial pressure and leadership are all connected when it comes to building a stronger safety culture.
- Different perspectives, practical discussion, and plenty still to unpack.
