Our experiment with alternating Thursday and Friday meetings has come to an end, and we're reverting to Fridays only. 7pm for a 7:30pm start at the 1st Keilor Village Scout Hall, Bonfield Street, Keilor 3036.

Calling all hams!

The Melbourne Electronics and Radio Club is hosting a Radio Emissions Testing Night this coming Friday, September 13th.

Bring your radios to check your Baofengs, HF rigs, or any other questionable hamfest finds for unwanted emissions like harmonics.

Change to meeting schedule

Some members have had difficulties working Fridays around family, work, and other commitments - so, as of July, we're including some Thursday nights in the schedule.

Thursdays: First and Third Thursday of the month
Fridays: Second, Fourth, and where one occurs, Fifth Friday of the month.

With the festive season upon us and most members having other commitments at this time of year, our next meeting will be January 12th.

Members wishing to use the radio equipment in the club rooms during the break are welcome to contact Stuart VK3SH to arrange to collect the keys, subject to reasonable leadtime and Stuart's availability.

We are changing our meeting schedule during the colder months. Until further notice, in-person meetings will occur on the second and fourth Fridays of the month. There will be an additional meeting where there is a fifth meeting in the month. No in-person meetings first or third Fridays.

Our first meeting at our new premises showed us how much more work we need to do to make the space workable. While that happens, we will revert to our regularly scheduled Zoom meetings.

We won't have another meeting on site until we've set things up a bit better, but will probably be arranging some working bees - watch this space.
