It seems that there is another wave of Ransomware doing the rounds, this article is worth a read. In short, don't open any attachments in an email that say "your invoice attached...". If you receive an email like this from someone and are unsure of what to do, give them a call to check if they sent it.

A ‘Locky’ ransomware spam campaign is currently underway with the subject: Your Invoice ######.

It seems like many people in Australia are receiving a text message today saying they are mentioned in a photo, and to click on the link in the message. This is a scam, don’t click the link. Just delete the message.

This is an excellent article on the latest fake email going around. Don't open an attachment in an email purporting to be from a government department, in this instance the ATO.

Tens of thousands of Australians are at risk of downloading a virus with a single click thanks to a malware spam email designed to impersonate the ATO.

It looks like another form of virus email is starting to make the rounds. Do not under any circumstances click on a link in one of these emails, or click/open an attachment. Delete and empty deleted items immediately.

Warning: Do Not Open or click on any links that appear to come from *An Energy Provider* that has the title "Electricity Usage". The links inside redirect to a ransomware virus.
