🚐 On the road: Cairns to Melbourne via the outback
We’re travelling south this week through regional QLD and NSW, stopping in to see customers and contacts across mining, resources, water, irrigation and heavy industry.
A lot of remote mining and industrial sites depend on radio telemetry and local alarm systems to keep operations running safely — especially where mobile coverage isn’t reliable.
If you’re along the route and would like to catch up while we’re passing through, send us a message or give us a call.
Starting in Cairns (thanks again to Pullman Cairns International for always looking after us), then heading inland all the way to Victoria.

💧 Proud to Support Our Remote Water Operators! 💧

EDAC Electronics Australasia is excited to be co-sponsoring the Indigenous Operator of the Year Award – QLD together with WIOA, as part of the 2025 Indigenous Local Government Drinking Water Symposium in Weipa.

Since 1989, EDAC has been designing and supplying remote monitoring, alarm diallers, and control systems that help ensure safe drinking water, even in some of the most isolated communities across Australia. But the real heroes are the operators on the ground who work every day to keep water clean, safe, and flowing.

We’re looking forward to presenting the award, meeting these amazing operators, and hearing how they overcome the challenges of delivering safe water in remote communities.
