When operating expenses increase unexpectedly, finance teams need to understand what changed, investigate transactions and explain the movement before month-end reporting.

Oracle's NetSuite 2026.2 developments introduce new capabilities that could help with parts of this process.

🔹 NetSuite Next brings conversational AI and contextual insights into the ERP experience.

🔹 Ask Oracle lets authorised users ask questions about business data in natural language, subject to their existing permissions.

🔹 Intelligent Flux Analysis helps explain account balance movements by preparing draft explanations from comparative financial information.

Accountants still need to investigate transactions and validate the results.

For Australian customers, availability matters. Oracle announced the initial NetSuite Next rollout for the US and Canada, so availability in Australian accounts should be confirmed rather than assumed.

Before upgrading, test a real workflow. For example, check whether a vendor bill imported through an integration has the correct currency and approval status and appears accurately in financial reports.

VNMT Solutions recently had the opportunity to connect with the Oracle NetSuite team in Melbourne, with Mrudul Modh, CEO of VNMT Solutions, and Jay Patel representing our team.

The discussion gave us an opportunity to share VNMT’s journey, capabilities, and experience across the NetSuite ecosystem, from implementations and customizations to integrations, WMS, EDI, optimization, and ongoing support across industries including manufacturing, retail, healthcare, logistics, and professional services.

We also exchanged valuable perspectives on automation, AI, and the evolving NetSuite ecosystem, along with opportunities to work more closely together to support customers and help them get greater value from their NetSuite investment.
