At the ICC Sydney on Friday night, Evitat accepted a 2026 Australian Good Design Award in Digital Design – Apps & Software. 🏆

It was a packed room and a great night. Seeing the innovation recognised on stage, across so many categories, was a highlight, and so was meeting the other winners and talking innovation with people tackling very different problems, all with the same drive to design things better.

Evitat was built in Australia, but the problem it solves isn’t Australian. Every country is working out how to build with less carbon, and every architect faces the same question at the point of specification: which material, and can I trust the data behind it?

Being recognised among that company is a proud moment for an Australian company building a solution the whole industry needs.

We’re proud to share that Evitat has won a 2026 Australian Good Design Award in the Digital Design – Apps & Software category. 🏆

Choosing building materials means working through a lot of complex information, including product data, compliance and carbon. We built Evitat to make that clear and approachable, so architects and designers can make better material decisions at the moment they matter most.

The Jury recognised Evitat as “a genuinely thoughtful response to a complex sustainability challenge in the building and construction sector,” and highlighted our transparent AI search and verified data built into the workflow.

Most of all, they noted that the impact reaches beyond the software, into the buildings and projects it shapes. That’s why we do this.

Happy International Building Designer Day!

A year ago, we started our partnership with the BDAA (Building Designers Association of Australia) as our foundation partner, this journey has been truly special and since then, that partnership flourishes into something truly special within the BDAA community, helping shape Evitat into where it stands today.

A special thank you to Chris Knierim, Robyne Jones and Darren Evans for their continuous support and involvement.

With the Building Designer Community now part of Evitat 3.0, we’re giving back to the people who helped us grow and continuing to invest in the profession that inspired it all.
