Betrayal with ADHD hits extra hard…
Betrayal hurts anyone, but when you live with ADHD and rejection sensitive dysphoria, it can feel absolutely unbearable.
It is not simply sadness. It is a crushing combination of rejection, humiliation, anger, confusion and grief. Your mind replays every conversation, every promise and every moment you thought was real. You question your worth, your judgement and whether you ever truly knew the person at all.
RSD can turn betrayal into emotional agony. The pain feels immediate and physical. You may want answers, reassurance or justice right now because sitting with the uncertainty feels impossible.
But someone else’s betrayal does not define your value.
Their choices belong to them. Your pain is real, but it will not always feel this intense. Before reacting, breathe, step away and speak to someone you trust. Protect yourself without destroying yourself.
You were betrayed. You were not made worthless.
