In the past 12 months Rapier Electronics GFL156 Evacuation Light have been used in projects from Darwin to Mount Gambier and many places in between, from individual supermarkets, shopping complexes, airports and many other enclosed public spaces. We are selling more than ever and have had to increase our production to match the demand.

The GFL156 Evacuation Light and (optional) PSU188 Power Supply unit can form an integral part of any building fire/evacuation plan.

At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic back in March, we had to make a lot of changes to our facility and the way we operate by expanding our production workshop area, restricting access to our building and rearranging staff break times to allow for the mandatory social distancing requirements. We also put into place a strict disinfecting/cleaning program which, we are happy to say, all staff have adhered to, have accepted and embraced this as the new normal.
With great thanks to all our customers and suppliers during this time for their support and most importantly our wonderful staff, who have been fantastic, we have been able to continue manufacturing and keep everyone employed.
We know that there is still a long way to go, but if everyone does the right thing businesses will be able to continue trading with more and more people able to be employed, not just in manufacturing but across all sectors of business.

…And in with the new! 😎

We have just upgraded the lighting in our main production area to energy efficient LED panel lighting. These Haneco Lighting MATRIX LED 5K panel lights are much brighter and using less than half the energy than the previous fluoro fittings. Thanks to the guys (Brian) at Sharpe ERS who gave us fantastic service from assessment, quoting, instillation and clean up all in one day.

Coupled with our newly installed solar system, Rapier Electronics is reducing operating costs and doing its part in helping the environment.
