🚨 WARNING: Facebook Scam Alert – Protect Your Account! 🚨

I've been seeing this scam a lot lately, so I want to make sure everyone knows what to watch out for! Scammers are pretending to be your Facebook friends and asking for 6-digit codes—if you share it, they can take over your account.

How it works:

You might receive a message from someone pretending to be a friend, asking for a 6-digit code to "help them out."
These codes are usually sent to you by text message or email directly from Facebook.
If someone is asking for this code, it means they’re trying to access your account!

What to do if this happens:
- Immediately reset your password.
- Set up two-factor authentication (2FA) to add an extra layer of security.
- Make your profile private so not everyone can easily see your personal information.

These are just a few simple ways to stay safe online! Your personal information is valuable, and taking these steps will help protect you from scammers.

Need help securing your account?

If you're unsure how to reset your password, set up 2FA, or adjust your privacy settings, I’m happy to assist! Just contact me to make an appointment, and I can help you secure your account and answer any other tech-related questions.

Stay safe, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you need assistance!

Best,
Mac 😊

Don't Get Phished! 🎣

Have you received an email asking you to update your payment info or warning that an account is about to expire?

STOP! Before you click anything, take a moment to protect yourself from phishing scams.

Here's what to do:

Check the sender's email address. Is it from a legitimate company domain (like .com), or does it look suspicious (like .net)? Scammers often use slight misspellings or fake domains to trick you.

Don't click on links directly in the email. Instead, open a new browser window and go to the company's website yourself. Look for official notices or contact customer service directly to verify the request.

When in doubt, reach out. Call the company using a phone number you trust (not one from the suspicious email). If you're still unsure, ask a tech-savvy friend or family member for help.

Remember: Legitimate companies will NEVER ask for your sensitive information (like passwords or credit card numbers) through email. Stay vigilant and stay safe online! 🔒

Tech Tip: Managing iCloud Photos on Your iPhone

Is your iPhone constantly reminding you that "Your storage is full"?

If so, it's likely that your iCloud, Apple's online storage service, is full. But don't worry, you can manage your iCloud Photos to free up space and keep your memories safe! Here's how:

Step 1: Download Originals
Before you turn off iCloud Photos, make sure you have all your original photos and videos on your device.

Go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Photos and select "Download and Keep Originals."

Step 2: Turn off iCloud Photos

Go to Settings, then tap your name.
Tap iCloud > Photos.
Select "Sync this [Device]" to turn off iCloud Photos.

Step 3: Delete Photos from iCloud

This action will prompt a message asking if you want to remove photos from your iPhone backed up to iCloud. Since you want to keep the original photos on your phone and download them from the cloud, select "Download Photos & Videos" to download the original files to your device.

Once you've completed these steps, your original photos will be safely stored on your device, and you can free up space in your iCloud. If you need more iCloud storage, consider upgrading your plan for additional space.
