Tropical Cyclone Alfred – Expected Impacts on Communications
You may be acutely aware of the expected landfall of Cyclone Alfred in the coming days, please understand there are expected outages due to high winds and flooding across Southeast Queensland for:
Internet
Communications
Power
Water
The State is preparing for these outages to be ready for fastest resolution, and service providers are working to ensure redundancies are as prepared as possible.
We’re in close connection with upstream providers and we are anticipating widespread outages.
It is highly probable that communications will be lost at times, with high loads on the cellular network, we encourage you to be patient during these periods.
Working offline
It might be a good idea to save files locally for working offline until services restore.
Working from home
Working from home is an option for most organisations, please let us know if you’re unsure about accessing your 365 or 3CX systems or if you’re just unsure how to connect remotely.
If you have any concerns regarding the security of data, access of your systems, please don’t hesitate to call us 0753535178.
Our team will be working remotely during the event, for as long as they have power access also.
Stay safe and we’ll see you when it’s back to business as usual.
