Rebrand alert. Rice products formerly known as Uncle Ben’s has transformed into Ben’s Original. Nicely retaining enough brand DNA to feel familiar but happily removing racist connotations.
I don’t believe the US is ready for it, but I do think it’s a shame that black people are loosing some representation in branding as a result. A space has opened up for more positive opportunities for black representation. Designer unknown

Designers - time to use your communication skills.

Designers - time to use your communication skills.

Designers making Morrison understand.

While much of Australia burns, many of us ask what can I do?’
Not everyone has resources to donate cash, ability to donate time, or skills to rebuild fences.
Luckily designers have a special power many don’t - we provide information to help explain what’s happening and why it’s happening.

We can explain what climate change is and why Australia is more susceptible than many. Better still, we can use design to lobby our government to explain what can be done to improve the situation.

Designers making Morrison understand is an initiative of DBC to increase (our governments) awareness of the science of climate change.

Designers making Morrison understand will culminate in an exhibition of graphics explaining climate change to our Prime Minister - a man that obviously needs help understanding the science behind the fires (and previous floods).

We want Australian designers to use their skills to produce something that will make Morrison understand and take action.

While you start designing, we’ll start sourcing places to display the results. Initially a touring exhibition, but longer term, we can lobby via poster advertising on street furniture, cinema spots and billboard advertising.

All contacts gratefully received.
