No... the world is not coming to an end on July 27th. That is the day that the federal government will be testing their mobile phone alert system. If all goes to plan, pretty much all mobiles should receive a test alert from the new system.
Most Australians will receive a mobile phone alert in July this year, as part of a nationwide test of a new emergency warning system.
