CANVA users — hello!! Do I use Canva? Yep, sometimes. The paid version has some excellent features. But… would I design a logo or professionally printed document in CANVA? No. Here’s why👇
(Free pro tips from a designer with 20+ years experience… )
1️⃣ Print still needs CMYK
Commercial print presses still use Cyan, Magenta, Yellow & Black.
Canva exports RGB by default - great for screens, not for print.
Wrong colour mode = unexpected results (and reprints 💸).
2️⃣ Logos must scale (a PNG won’t cut it)
Your logo should work:
on a business card
on a shopfront sign
on a vehicle wrap
PNG files pixelate when enlarged.
A designer supplies vector formats that scale perfectly.
3️⃣ Your brand needs to be responsive
A logo should adapt across:
colours
sizes
backgrounds
Without losing clarity or integrity.
Designers create a full system of assets so everything stays consistent and professional.
4️⃣ Good design isn’t dragging shapes around a screen
Designers study:
colour theory
typography
visual hierarchy
brand strategy
The goal?
To create a visual story that is timeless, not just trendy this minute.
5️⃣ Designers protect your brand (often behind the scenes)
We take:
screenshots
low-res images
mismatched colours
… and fix them, so your business still looks good.
You may never see the rescue mission happening — but it matters.
Canva is a fantastic DIY tool.
But your brand identity deserves the skill, strategy and longevity that a professional designer brings.
If you want visuals that grow with your business, not hold it back — talk to a designer. ✨
