✈️ From Brisbane to Perth to talk agency growth, AI & the future of digital

Last week Dan had the opportunity to head over to Perth as a guest speaker at WP Engine Agency Executive Briefing.

Dan shared some of the lessons we’ve learned growing MyWork over the years, and also got into some of the bigger conversations happening across our industry right now:

🐯 A great day backing the Brisbane Tigers.

The MyWork team headed to the ground for a corporate lunch, drinks and an afternoon of footy, with a pretty great view of our “Websites That Roar” signage around the field.

We’re proud to support a local club that brings so many people together, and it was a great opportunity to get the team out of the office and enjoy the day.

With the Tigers playing their final home game of the season over the weekend, it feels like a good time to share this one and say thanks to the Brisbane Tigers for having us.

😱 Someone’s pretending to be Dan.

Over the past week, a number of our clients have received emails that appear to come from MyWork MD, Dan, complete with name, photo and genuine website observations.

They’re fake.

The scary part isn’t that they’re full of spelling mistakes or obviously suspicious. They’re actually pretty convincing.

AI is making it easier than ever for scammers to create personalised emails that look legitimate, using publicly available information from websites, LinkedIn and other online sources.

🚀 From idea to live website in minutes.

George was at Flight Centre's AI Design Workshop this week, where we used AI agents, Google AI Studio, GitHub and Vercel to build and launch a working web app on a live domain.

It's pretty wild to see how quickly ideas can now become real, usable products.

Lots of good insights, a few ideas to bring back to the team, and some pizza along the way 🍕🤖
