Less tracking. More you. 🔒

Your iPhone lets you choose whether apps can track you across other companies’ apps and websites.

📱 Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking

Turn off “Allow Apps to Request to Track”, then review any apps you previously allowed.

This won’t remove every ad or switch off your feed’s algorithm — it gives you more control over cross-app tracking permissions.

Save this for your next privacy check and share it with your group chat.

A travel eSIM doesn’t automatically stop every roaming charge. 📱✈️

Flying out of Australia for the school holidays? Save these 3 checks:

1️⃣ Check before you buy.
Your iPhone needs to support eSIM and be unlocked to use another carrier. In Settings → General → About, look for “No SIM Restrictions” beside Service Provider Lock. Regional model exceptions apply.

2️⃣ Choose the travel eSIM for mobile data.
Turn off Allow Mobile Data Switching and turn Data Roaming off on your Aussie line. Follow your travel provider’s instructions for the travel eSIM’s own roaming setting. Menu names vary.

3️⃣ Check what your home line can still charge.
For example, Telstra Day Pass can activate in eligible destinations when you make or answer a call, send an SMS or use mobile data. Other carriers, prepaid and plan rules differ.

Need to keep your Aussie number active? Check call, SMS and verification-message access with your telco before flying. Data-only travel plans don’t automatically replace your normal phone service.

Save this and send it to your travel mate. Where are you heading next? 🌏

Going off-grid in NSW? Save this before your next weekend away. 📱🏕️

If you use an iPhone 14 or later, Emergency SOS via satellite can help you contact emergency services in Australia when there is no mobile network and no Wi‑Fi coverage.

Before you go:
1️⃣ Update your iPhone to the latest iOS.
2️⃣ Try the Satellite Connection Demo: Control Centre → Mobile Data → Satellite → Try Demo.
3️⃣ Set up Medical ID: Health → profile picture → Medical ID → Edit, then turn on Show When Locked and add emergency contacts.

In a real emergency, try calling or texting 000 first. If it cannot connect because you are off-grid, follow the iPhone prompt for Emergency Text via Satellite and the onscreen directions.

Save this checklist and share it with someone heading out of Sydney.
