đ¨ PLUMBERS: I wouldnât spend more on Google Ads yet.
If youâre running a plumbing business and spending thousands every month on Google Ads, but youâre not booking enough profitable plumbing jobs, I wouldnât immediately blame the ads.
Iâd look at what happens after the click.
Because your Google Ads might actually be doing their job.
Someone searches:
âplumber near meâ
âemergency plumberâ
âblocked drain plumberâ
âhot water plumberâ
They see your plumbing ad.
They click.
They land on your website.
But then what?
If your website looks like every other plumbing companyâŚ
âQuality plumbing.â
âReliable service.â
âCall us today.â
âŚwhy should they choose you?
If Iâm the customer and Iâve got three plumbers open on my phone, but none of them gives me a clear reason to choose them, what am I going to compare?
Price.
Thatâs why I donât just look at cost per click or how many plumbing leads your Google Ads generated.
I want to know:
đ How many leads turned into booked plumbing jobs?
đ Which services generated the best jobs?
đ What did it cost to acquire an actual customer?
đ And are those jobs profitable?
Because more plumbing leads wonât fix a weak offer.
Before you increase your Google Ads budget, search one of the plumbing keywords youâre paying for.
Open your landing page.
Then ask yourself:
âIf I needed a plumber right now, why would I choose us over the other three?â
If the answer isnât obvious within a few seconds, Iâd fix that before spending another dollar trying to drive more traffic.
