A little update from me.

Today has been just a regular winter day in Melbourne. I've seen sunshine ☀️, felt the freezing cold wind 💨, seen it rain a few times 🌧️ and then spotted a rainbow 🌈. I've also been trying to do a few bits and pieces in the background:

• I had the Faire Market last month. It wasn't as busy as the previous year - despite efforts to add new products and message previous retailers. I got 4 orders, so I am thankful for the ones that came in. I'm waiting on some fabric to be printed to finish the last orders.

• I signed up to Madeit: Artisan Handmade - a handmade shopping site purely for Australian handmade products. I've added my handmade zip purses and sunglasses pouches - so I'm testing the waters to see if this is a good platform for me. So far, no sales - but I'll update anyone if they are interested.

• I finally got my first Spoonflower | wallpaper, fSpoonflower | wallpaper, fabric + home decore of my cat designs. I am so curious where these 9 rolls of wallpaper will be used 🧐

• I've been sending the odd email to pitch my work to potential clients for an artist collaboration. For anyone who licenses work, you know how hard it is to find clients who want to work together. So I'll just keep trying

That's kind of it for now.

Something new in the shop - sticker sheets! Stickers bring me back to my childhood. My favourite thing to collect were stickers of every kind. I loved flipping through my sticker book and it was my most prized possession as a kid.

I've got two new sticker sheets in my shop and also available to wholesale. Featuring some of my favourite illustrations from recent patterns, these brighten up any envelope, letter, notebook, scrapbook or wherever you love decorating with stickers.

It's that time of year! The Faire market is running 21-23 July this week and if you place an order with me you'll get a 10-15% discount on orders.

Faire continues to be my wholesale go-to platform to reach stockists mostly Australia-wide who are looking for locally designed and made goods. Last year I had a few orders come in and I'm hoping for a bigger and better 2026! I've just uploaded my new card and sticker designs so there's lots of newness amongst my current range.

Insiders can start shopping now! For everyone else, you can pop in an order from tomorrow 😀

After the whirlwind release of my collab water bottle that sold out in just over a week (thank you 🙏), I'm back to creating art for the first time this year. It's been so hard to get back into the creative flow this year. Sometimes it can take a couple of hours to get into creating but usually I can't always get that block of time.

I've worked on some new greeting cards to add to my collection. My other new baby card has been popular over the years, so decided to add this welcome little one to the mix. This one is currently with the printer.

Stoked to have my We Are Explorers x nalgeneaustralia Aussie Bush 1L water bottles launch this week!

As someone who loves being active and outdoors, this bottle is a perfectly durable bottle to keep you hydrated. Inspired by Australian flora and fauna I've seen on my many hikes around Victoria - I'm looking forward to using it for many, many years to come! The print came out so well on the bottle too. 😀

Printed in the US, there is only a very limited drop of 100 bottles, so if you're on the look out for a bottle that'll last the distance and captures a little slice of the Aussie outdoors, head over to nalgeneaustralia website - before they sell out!

AND stay tuned for a giveaway tomorrow to WIN your very own bottle. 🎉

A massive thank you to We Are Explorers for choosing my work and making this happen. There's something magical about seeing your work come to life and I love knowing that my work gets to travel around Australia (and maybe even around the world!)

A few things happening in the background that I almost forgot about posting anything on social media.

1. I've had new sticker sheets printed. Two are re-prints - one of my sold out cat stickers and almost out of stock dinosaurs, then I have two new sheets that I'll share soon when they arrive.

2. I'm also working on new greeting card designs, including playing around with this happy birthday card design. Trying to get them finalised before the end of financial year.

3. And I've got a couple of other things happening, including a launch of an exciting collab this week! Can't wait to share the details and it includes a giveaway 😍

Finally got around to my wrap up of The Big Design Market, one of the biggest design events in Melbourne. I love the atmosphere and being in the iconic Royal Exhibition Buildings for 3 full days.

There were many hours of prep work behind the scenes and so how did it go?

• It was one of my quietest market events sales-wise. So that was a little disappointing. Lots of people came by, but many walked past or looked like they might purchase something but then didn't.

• The crowds were definitely still there, so hats off to the team for still bringing in the people. Overall it feels like people had less to spend and with cost of living pressures, that wasn't a surprise.

• I had 58 sales and a bit of everything sold. This makes it hard to know what to make more or less of for next time. Things I thought I would start to phase out (my key rings) were still selling well!

• It can be hard to stand out, especially as the stall was towards the back. There are so many incredible businesses doing so many creative things. I think I will re-jig my display, I realised having displays at the front of the table are often hard to see or difficult for people to bend down and look at it.

• Despite not being massive sales-wise, I did get a wholesale and licensing enquiry and of course met many new customers and reconnected with people I know. Always grateful to those who decide to spend their hard earned money on my products ❤️

• The reality is the cost of doing market events is huge! I used to be able to do most of the big markets in Melbourne, but with the sales not what they were for me, I'm just doing the next Big Design Market in December. I'm hoping this one goes well 🤞🏼

Anything else you're keen to know about the market or markets in genera? Drop it into the comments.
