For those of you that bank with ING (or any bank for that matter), there are a few scams doing the rounds again. Just a word of caution.

🚨 Scam Alert 🚨
We’re aware of a number of fake SMS currently circulating which claim to be from ING. The SMS is telling people that there was an attempted transaction and if not authorised, to click on a suspicious link. Just so you know, we’d never send you a link asking you to enter your details claiming there’s been a potential unauthorised attempted transaction. We’re working on putting a stop to this SMS. Here’s how you can tell if you’ve received a fake security text:
1. You’ve been sent a link that doesn’t look genuine or doesn’t include ing.com.au (like the one in the pictured SMS)
2. The SMS text asks you to click the link, then asks you for your personal or banking info (we’d never ask you to provide these details via a link in an unsolicited text or email)
3. Do not log onto your Internet banking via a link in a SMS. Instead, use your mobile app or go to our website.
If you think it’s suspicious, please ignore and delete the message when you get it.
