This SC3579-SA1 Teagle control unit had definitely seen better days when it first came through the workshop.

At the time, the customer needed a quick turnaround, so rather than replacing the entire membrane we fitted a pair of tactile switches to get the unit back into service ASAP.

The control unit recently came back in after another section of the ageing membrane failed, but this time the customer had enough downtime available for us to manufacture and install a new membrane. The finished result is a lot neater and should last considerably longer than the original.

This AgGPS RTK Base Receiver and antenna came in after being struck by lightning.

After assessing the damage, we were able to restore functionality to the receiver by repairing damage to the power ribbon cable, along with a damaged PCB track and several failed components inside the unit.

Unfortunately the antenna itself wasn't economical to repair. This particular model is non-serviceable, which makes it difficult to disassemble safely and time-consuming to reseal in a way that will last long-term.

Thankfully we're able to source aftermarket replacement antennas for these systems, giving customers a far more affordable alternative than purchasing a new RTK system.

We recently had a Goldacres SCS440 DB sprayer control module come in for testing after the customer reported having issues with flow rate control on their sprayer. The sprayer still worked correctly in manual mode, so there were a few possible causes to work through.

After thoroughly testing the control module on our bench, we couldn't find any faults with it and began to suspect the issue might be elsewhere. With a bit of back and forth between ourselves and the customer, we were able to narrow things down to a likely wheel sensor fault instead.

The customer checked things over on their end and was able to confirm the issue. Sometimes the most valuable part of diagnosis is eliminating possibilities and helping pinpoint where the actual fault is occurring.

We've recently repaired a few John Deere Instrument Panels with failed LCD displays. The reported faults ranged from missing display segments through to completely blank screens.

While the repair itself is fairly straightforward, disassembly can be time-consuming and finicky. Once apart, we're able to replace the faulty LCD, then reassemble and test before shipping it back to the customer.

This Krone Baler monitor box came in from a farmer in south-west Victoria who was struggling with unresponsive buttons and LED lights.

After pulling it apart and inspecting the internal components we were able to see signs of cracking on the ribbon cables that control both the buttons and the LEDs, likely due to age or being pinched inside the device.

Since the cable is part of the button panel it wasn't possible to repair it as it was, but fortunately we were able to design and make a brand new panel with all the same buttons and functions.

With the new panel installed the buttons began working again and the LEDs came back to life.

We had a customer recently bring in their load bar & scale indicator for repair. The load bar had been slightly crushed during setup, and now the scale indicator was throwing error codes.

We confirmed that the scale indicator was still functional by simulating new load bars on our test bench. We then disassembled their load bar and confirmed the wiring was still okay.

This particular model had its load cells suspended inside silicone, making it a labour-intensive process to repair, and would likely have cost the customer at least as much (if not more) than purchasing a new set.

Whenever we get to this point during diagnosis, we always tell the customer to go with the option that's better value for them. We're here to help, not make a quick buck.

We've recently had several Trimble CFX-750 units come in for touch screen issues. Some were working intermittently, while others weren't recognising inputs at all.

In instances where the device cannot be recalibrated, we can install a new touch panel. We try to keep stock on hand for as many devices as possible so we can turn these around quickly and get customers up and running again ASAP.

This Vicon Baler Monitor came in recently with a few reported issues:

- It wouldn't stay on
- The joystick was bent and required a lot of force to register any inputs
- The device also had a couple of stray wires coming out the back that weren't connected to anything (left over from a previous owner)

We removed the excess wires, found some out-of-spec components that were causing the monitor issue, then straightened out the joystick and installed new switches to improve its feel and responsiveness.

A light panel recently came in from a Western Star 4700 Instrument Cluster, with a faulty buzzer and issues with the indicator lights.

For this repair we needed to order some specific parts, but we were still able to turn it around and get it back out to the customer in two weeks.

From March 1st, 2026, our diagnostics fee will be increasing to $325 (ex GST).

Since opening in 2023, we haven’t increased our pricing at all, despite the continued rise in operating costs across the board.

The diagnostics fee exists to cover the time required to properly test and diagnose your device and allows us up to two hours to do this thoroughly. In many cases, we spend longer than this without charging additional labour. If diagnosis takes less time, we always take that into account when preparing your quote.

This adjustment allows us to continue fairly supporting our team and ensures we can keep providing reliable, long-term support to farmers and machinery owners.
