Jimmy's Takeaways headed to the Melbourne Royal Exhibition Building on the weekend to checkout the food and beverage offering at the Wild Collective event.

There were a number of traditional style caravans and trucks serving all matter of food and drink. Milkshakes, ice-creams, coffee, sandwiches, bagels and burgers a-plenty!

We headed to The Original Bagel Burger truck to order and watch our food being prepared while our mouths watered. Then headed later to the Franklin caravan for a hit of great coffee. Both certainly didn't disappoint.

We look forward to heading to the next 'out of the ordinary' event to experience more great food and beverage offering.

You're at Hotham Alpine Resort and you're hungry. Where do you go? Zirkys Mt. Hotham of course! The Zirknitzer's are back in charge of the best place on this hill and you can tell. Lasagne is back on the menu. The only thing missing is Peter's goulash.

Some of the crew headed to Treehouse Lounge in Balaclava and got Marinka's warming shakshuka.

Baked eggs in a Middle eastern spiced sugo with pecorino & roasted capsicum, topped with sour cream and za'atar served with Turkish sticks. We added Holumi but should have gone the chorizo as well!

Absolutely delicious from the Treehouse lounge team.

After cruising by the Pub In The Paddock, the Jimmy crew indulged at Holy Cow Cafe Pyengana which is located up the road from the pub.

Before tucking into a rich serve of their very moist and sweet orange cake with a side serve of lemon myrtle ice cream, we decided to work our way through their selection of cheeses made on site at their Pyengana Dairy. From mild to tasty through to flavoured cheddars, the cheeses were soft, textured, creamy, flavoursome and very enjoyable. We bought a few to enjoy with some pre-dinner drinks later that evening.

The cafe is quaint and very welcoming. It is an unexpected surprise given its location. It is a must see if you have the time to travel the Tassie East Coast anytime soon.
