Yesterday a customer brought in there laptop for repair. The hinge was coming lose and the laptop wasn't turning on at all.

Once we got the back cover off we immediately noticed the screws on the hinge were lose. A quick tighten and that solved the hinge problem.

After diagnosing the laptop and determining the issue of it not turning on to be the bios, we did a quick reset and the laptop was returned to the customer on the same day

Over the past few weeks, HolmesPC has seen several water-damaged laptops come through the workshop.

This customer had their laptop stored in a bag alongside a bottle of water. Unfortunately, the bottle leaked, allowing water to make its way into the laptop and cause damage to the motherboard.

After carrying out repairs, we were pleased to return this laptop back to the customer fully working.

Water damage doesn't always mean the end of your device. If your laptop has been exposed to liquid, turn it off immediately and contact HolmesPC as soon as possible to give it the best chance of a successful repair. 💻🔧
