The Australian newspaper ran a major piece (20 April) calling for esports to be treated like traditional sport for kids’ development - perfectly timed with the School Esports Cup hitting 100+ student sign-ups and extended registrations. 🏆 The Australian Esports League 2026 University Elite Series exploded into action:
• Rocket League matches fired up on Wednesday 15 April (top uni teams, Wednesday evenings)
• Rainbow Six Siege season launched Friday 17 April with university squads from LTU, MQ, Monash, QUT, RMIT, Swinburne, Melbourne Uni, UON, UNSW, UTAS, UQ and more
• Full coverage also rolling in Marvel Rivals, VALORANT & beyond

• TXG Esports “April Opening Night”
• Battlefield league action where Australian squads (including Team Australia) were competing strongly - Gloria Victis defeated 2eZy to stay unbeaten at the top, while Team Australia took down 1UP and joined them unbeaten at the summit
