Introducing: The Legacy Mural Project ⚡️

Stills 📸 from the super fun installation of the Legacy mural for Gold Coast Youth Foyer.

A big part of this project was creating an atmosphere for residents and support team to feel encouraged and welcome to join in on the fun and get their hands dirty.

Helped along by good music, conversation, lots of smiles and a constant supply of cultural treats & snacks (thanks Lisa), we ended up with heaps of helping hands and good vibes from the crew to get this mural up on the walls.

A huge thanks to all involved in getting this amazing project off the ground– Lisa Sorbie Martin, Matt Slavin, and the lads at Hotel Miami. You are all legends!

And a big thank you to all the crew who shared their ideas and drawings, stories and insights, picked up the brushes and had a yarn with us. You made it an epic time, and we couldn’t have done it without you.

Combine 35+ summer temps, rolling afternoon thunderstorms, faulty booms, paint explosions, covid close contacts and a thirsty thirsty (THIRSTY!) wall, and you have the ingredients for a whopper project that looks a little something like this.

We started with all smiles, endured with slightly lesser* smiles (*spot B during her post-paint-coma in the reel) and felt pretty damn proud once it was finished. Probably (definitely) the most challenging mural project we’ve done to date. So we’ll be damned if it doesn’t deserve a spot on the feed!!!

What a year! Here is a re-cap of most of our projects from 2021. It’s been a year of hard work, focus, fun and growth! Our team grew. We took on larger projects. We kicked some goals. Ups and downs.
