Quick question. When did you last back up your phone? 📸

Not a trick question. Most of us haven't in a while, and that little phone holds more than we think. Years of photos of the kids. Videos you can't re-shoot. Messages you'd hate to lose.

Phones don't give much warning. A drop, a drink or a dead board and it's gone from the screen, even if it's still in there somewhere.

Two minutes today:
Turn on iCloud Backup or Google Photos backup.
Check it says it backed up recently, not two years ago.
Leave it on wifi and on charge so it can finish.

That's it. Future you will be very grateful.

And if it's already too late and the phone won't turn on, stop hammering the power button. Switch it off and bring it in. We can't promise what we'll get back, but we'll give it a proper go.

Battery dying by lunchtime? Before you write off the whole phone, check one thing. 🔋

Most phones will tell you how worn the battery is. On an iPhone it's Settings, Battery, Battery Health. Android varies by brand, but there's usually a battery or device care section.

If maximum capacity is sitting well under 80%, the battery is the likely culprit, and the rest of the phone may be fine.

Slow charging, random shutdowns and a phone that runs warm in your pocket can all be a tired battery asking for retirement.

A battery swap makes sense when:
The screen is fine, the phone still does everything you need, and the battery is the only thing holding it back.

It might not when:
The phone is several years old, no longer gets updates, or has other faults stacking up. Then it's fair to look at a replacement, and we'll tell you so rather than sell you a battery you don't need.

Phone went in the water? The next 10 minutes matter more than anything else you'll do. 💦

Do this:
Get it out and turn it off. Don't check whether it still works, that's how a small problem becomes a dead one.
Dry the outside and the charge port.
Bring it in, or keep it switched off until you can.

Don't do this:
Don't put it in rice. Rice does nothing except make you feel like you're helping while the corrosion keeps going.
Don't plug it in. Power plus water is how boards die.
Don't reach for the hair dryer. Heat pushes the moisture further in.

Water damage carries no warranty and we'll never promise you a save. What we can do is get in early and give it the best shot, including getting it running long enough to pull your photos off.

Off, dry, in. That's the order.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales
- Greet customers, assess device issues, and complete repair intake forms
- Sell accessories, screen protectors, and other retail products
- Provide repair updates and collect outstanding balances
- Follow up on uncollected repairs

Admin & Operations
- Manage daily banking and end-of-day reconciliation
- Package and post devices as required
- Track and manage parts inventory, ensuring stock levels are maintained
- Maintain a clean, organised, and professional store environment
- Ensure all repairs and sales are accurately logged in POS and ticketing systems
