Scheduled WiFi/Internet Access
In a perfect world:
Each member of the family has the appropriate number of hours of WiFi/Internet access time per day. Children don't use the WiFi/Internet out of the prescribed hours, particularly after bedtime. Unfortunately the "perfect world" scenario seems to be ever elusive for many families and there are more and more reports and concerns of WiFi/Internet over indulgence to the detriment of, amongst other things, homework and studies. Devices are utilised after bedtime, social networking and gaming activities carrying on into the wee hours and sleep deprivation takes its toll. Switching off the Internet modem/router when the kids have gone to bed results in no one at home having WiFi/Internet access. Also someone has to remember to do this every night. Eventually kids work out how to turn it back on again so the next step is to remove the modem/router.
