SkyFi.au Internet Hubs support communities in regional Australia by providing satellite internet.

SkyFi.au Internet Hubs are being piloted in preparation for an outage or emergency event in the Eurobodalla and will have a focus on “Community Connections”. We provide fast satellite internet connections to community includes education on the types of connections available in the region and how they work in the event of an emergency. Experience and a recent Telstra survey has shown that many of o

ur community’s most vulnerable don’t know what type of connection they use at home. The Pilot program for community connections will be featured during Get Online Week 2023 to ensure that local organisations, clubs, community groups and their members are aware of what to do when there is an emergency event or prolonged outage. SkiFi.au Internet Hubs are a project developed by The Tec Exec whose goal is to provide an emergency satellite connection at each of three Heatwave and Bushfire Smoke Havens in the Eurobodalla in the event of an extreme weather event.

Great news! The Southcoast Health and Sustainability Alliance (SHASA) has received $552,442 from the Australian Government's Disaster Ready Fund to complete the fit-out of emergency Havens across the Eurobodalla.

These spaces support our most vulnerable residents during bushfires and heatwaves and strengthen our community’s disaster resilience.

A huge thank you to SHASA for their ongoing leadership and dedication.

Repair Cafes are eager to contribute to their community, but volunteer initiatives also incur expenses. Coffee, cookies, tools, and sometimes space rental...
