The AusComply guys, Jason and Gonz, have had a hectic past few days!
Lots of rain, dust, mud, and fun times!

Unfortunately due to some flooding issues, some tracks were impassable and they had to wait it out in the Simson desert before moving on. The rain throughout the Simpson desert provided a painful amount of red mud to coat their bikes (see images), but none the less, they are somehow still enjoying their trip!

Jason and Gonz are currently on their drive back to Mount Dare, where they will then travel back to Marree to start their long drive home to a nice warm shower and their own beds!

FRONTLINE SAFARI UPDATE:
Jason and Gonz are continuing their journey today to kick off the Frontline Safari trip to the Simpson Desert.

After driving 10hrs to Euston last night, they’re now on the move again—this time heading to Marree (another 10hr drive), where the adventure officially begins. Here’s some photos from their trip so far!

This weekend, two of our own— Jason (AusComply’s founder) and Gonz (our latest recruit)—are saddling up for an epic, sand-blasted adventure across the Simpson Desert! That’s 1,736km of unsealed roads, 1,100 sand dunes, and likely more than a few sore muscles… all in support of the Saltwater Veterans Sailing Project.

Jason’s weapon of choice a 2024 KTM 690R, and Gonz’s a 2005 KTM 525 EXC, we’re in for a real treat across 6 days! At an average of 290KM per day, the AusComply guys are geared up and ready!

Unfortunately thanks to flooding in Birdsville their Simpson Crossing has altered slightly (become longer) and is now from Marree to Mount Dare, to a Simpson Desert Loop which is out to the French Line, Knolls Track Intersection then a return back to Mount Dare via the WAA line. Then they will make their way back to Marree. They’re riding to raise funds for this amazing veteran-led initiative helping ex-service personnel reconnect through sailing.

All donations are tax deductible, and we’d be very appreciative of our customers, friends, and supporters to jump on board. Let’s see how much good we can do together.
