Some murals are a real pleasure. YMCA approach me via bookanartist.co with the opportunity to create a feature wall mural for their common room. I decided to come up with an abstract narrative that reflected the path that many young homeless and forgotten take in getting to the YMCA. I'm very proud to have been able to contribute to their space and hope it brings a bit of colour and positivity even when times may be at there toughest.

A dull thump of bass shakes the ground beneath her feet and twists walls that foolishly get in her way. Her determination and force of will are solely her own and will never be given up. Stolen technology makes up 80% of her physics, installed in haste to save her from her own corrupted biology after the cataclysm. A beacon of new hope if constructed at any other moment in history, now she ultimately symbolises a last ditch effort at survival....

Who is the criminal behind the code? He represents anarchy in its purest form and yet his true intentions are completely unknown. Another chill Sunday street art graffiti painting session in Leake Street Graffiti Tunnel with friends. This time alongside the always sharp ESAK. I've been spending so much time painting in the landscape format that I thought I'd try something a bit different this time. I took an image that was meant for the portrait orientation and knocked her over. It might not seem very experimental but it definitely was tricky to paint sideways.
