Have you got an Android phone with a virus? Annoying pop ups coming up on your screen not allowing you to do anything and have to keep dismissing them? We can help with that.

The way to steer clear of the virus is to be very careful about what apps you install that may not look legit, and being careful as to what ads you click on whilst searching through social media apps or online shopping.

So if you do have a virus, no need to visit your local Optus or Telstra store, we can take a look for you.

These “ancient dinosaurs” of computers are what we love the most here at Masterbit.

They take us back in time and show us how we can appreciate the tech standards we have today. And yes we aim to get these older PCs working again because they can be still used.

Factories with older machines that require windows 98 and windows xp need these older computers to keep their machines running and we’ve helped many businesses in the community with getting their tasks done by repairing or replacing their old computer with another of similar spec.

These older computers are also nostalgic when it comes to retro games. Gaming like we used to in the 90s is so different to today’s gaming world.

So if you have any older PCs or laptops at home and not sure what to do with them, we can take a look at them, we always try to make sure they get a chance to be restored if they can.

Ever wondered if there’s an alternative to Windows? Yes there is. There’s a few different “flavours” of Linux. We have laptops, desktops and all in ones for sale with a few different versions of Linux ready to go. We also offer hourly tutoring sessions so you get to the opportunity to learn how Linux works. And yes Linux is safe and secure for online use.

You know how every family’s got that grandparent who still asking how to send an email. Meanwhile Dean Simes is 102, runs a seniors tech club in Turramurra, and teaches older Aussies how to use WhatsApp, Windows 11, Excel, email and internet storage.

The best part is he didn’t even own a computer until he was in his 80s, when he got a second-hand one, then went and did three years at TAFE and instead of becoming the bloke that's always asking his kids how to use this app, he became the bloke everyone goes to.

He still drives, goes to the gym, plays bridge, and was named Ku-ring-gai’s Local Citizen of the Year this year, which is super awesome for a bloke at his age.
