🚀 What a week!

Last Wednesday in Adelaide, we hosted an engaging event focused on the hot topic of Copilot, featuring our Head of Automation, Josh Thomson, and guest speaker Ksenia Turner from Crayon (rhipe). They shared essential best practices and real-world insights on effectively integrating AI into the workplace.

The following day, we held our first event in Sydney, focusing on enhancing Apple in the workplace. We were treated to a fantastic lineup of speakers, including Rick from Apple, Nader and Winston from Jamf, and our very own Ben, who all had great discussions on incorporating and securing Apple devices.

It was a jam-packed few days of learning and collaboration. Huge thanks to everyone who attended!

We couldn't be more excited to announce our next stage of growth here at Blackbird IT, with the recent acquisition of South Australian managed service provider, Calvert Technologies, effective August 1st, 2024.

Calvert Technologies, founded in 1995 by Dean Calvert, has built a remarkable reputation over the past 29 years, serving over 1,200 clients in that time. The entire Calvert Technologies team has since transitioned to Blackbird IT’s head office in Dulwich, Adelaide.

We are so excited to work together as one united team, leveraging each other's skills and expertise. Exciting times ahead! 👏

On Friday, the 19th of July, CrowdStrike reported a widespread outage caused by a software update affecting Windows systems. The outage resulted in issues such as Blue Screens of Death, sudden shutdowns, and usability problems. CrowdStrike has confirmed this incident is not related to any cybersecurity breach or malicious activity.
